Thank you for choosing The Turning Point Education to help your child/children prepare for their end of year exams. Set out below are some guidelines as to how the exam prep workshops work, costs, times, etc. Please read through it carefully and contact us if you have any questions.

Aim and Purpose of the Exam Prep Workshops

  • These are different to normal extra lessons!
  • The aim and purpose of these sessions is to allow students time to practice past exam papers and exam techniques.
  • Our team have prepared grade specific exam papers to work through with the students. In other words, it is a tutor led session, allowing the students to learn exam technique.
  • If you require additional teaching of content, then you might prefer to do the normal extra lessons/ tutoring.

Practicalities of the Exam Prep Workshops

  • Sessions are in-person.
  • These sessions are offered in small groups, with no more than 5 students in each class.
  • These workshops are offered during the month of May, and again in June.
  • The sessions are offered after hours to ensure everyone can attend.

Cost of the Exam Prep Workshops

  • Invoices will be sent via email and all lessons are to be paid for in advance.
  • The cost of exam prep workshops for 2025 are R950 per subject.
  • Payment can be made via EFT only. When paying by EFT, please use your child’s name and surname as the reference.

Terms and Conditions

  • Missed lessons cannot be made up.
  • Extra lessons cannot be claimed from your medical aid and therefore the account is your responsibility.
  • Parents will not approach The Turning Point’s tutors for lessons in a private capacity. All lessons will be conducted and charged for through The Turning Point.
  • Should lessons with The Turning Point be stopped or cancelled for whatever reason, parents may not contact The Turning Point’s tutors for lessons for a period of two years. A placement fee of R5,000 will be levied in such an occurrence. This can, and will gladly, be re-arranged through our office.
  • Lessons will commence once a signed contract and payment have been received.
